Alma Zurbrug Memorial Sunday BETHANY—Alma M. Zurbrug, 85, a resident of the Bethany area of northwest Portland, died July 31, 1994, at her home of causes related to age. Memorial services will be held Sunday at 7 p.m. at Bethany Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Larry Langer officiating. Family—interment will be in Bethany—Presbyterian Cemetery. Mrs. Zurbrug was born Aug. 8, 1908, in Hillsboro and had lived all her life. Washington was the daughter of Fred and Elise Zimmerman Stucki and attended McKinley Grade School. She worked in the family cheese business. She married Gottlieb Zurbrug March 30, 1944, in Hillsboro. They lived on the family farm where they raised poultry. Her husband died Dec. 22, 1987. Mrs. Zurbrug was a lifetime member of Bethany Presbyterian Church. She had served on the Election Board for a number of years and raised vegetables. She also played the piano and made latch—hook—rugs. Survivors include two sons, Eugene Zurbrug and Roy Zurbrugg of Portland; four grandsons, Gary Zurbrug, Chris Zurbrug, Tim Berg and Richard Berg, all of Hillsboro; two great—grandsons, a sister, Ruth Kestek of West Linn and nephews. The family suggests memorial contributions to Bethany Presbyterian—Church. Funeral Home of Hillsboro is in charge of arrangements.
