Roy James Grossen A funeral for Roy James Grossen of Woodburn will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in First Presbyterian Church of Woodburn. Burial will be in Bethany Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Hillsboro. Mr. Grossen died of a heart attack Tuesday in his home at the age of 67. He was born July 26, 1925, in Hillsboro. He married Betty Nichol on May 14, 1948, in Bethany, and the couple moved to Woodburn in 1950. Mr. Grossen was a dairy farmer for many years and was involved in raising cattle at the time of his death. He was awarded the Outstanding Young Farmer award in 1958. A member of First Presbyterian Church of Woodburn, he helped build the church's Sunday school rooms and was a trustee and elder. Mr. Grossen and Help Inc. have been active in the development of the center. Survivors besides his wife include his sons, Gary and Keith of Woodburn and Ivan of Scotts Mills; daughter, Heidi Wilson of Salem; brothers, Albert, Elmer, Glen and Ben, all of Hillsboro; and eight grandchildren. The family suggests remembrances be contributions to First Presbyterian Church of Woodburn.
