Inez 'Marie' Wismer, 90, Forest Grove, died Dec. 14, 2008, at Jennings McCall in Forest Grove. A life celebration will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2009, at Bethany Presbyterian, 15505 NW Springville Road, Portland. She was born Inez M. Berge Aug. 7, 1918 in Cathay, N.D., a daughter of Elling and Camilla Berge. She was raised and educated in Cathay and New Rockford, N.D. She married Roland Charbonneau in 1940 and worked as a sales clerk, and behind the fountain, in the Parkrose Pharmacy for over 20 years until she retired in 1980. The couple divorced in 1970 and she married Alfred Wismer in 1989. They lived in Beaverton for several years and then moved to Jennings McCall Center in Forest Grove. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred, in 2006. She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Parkrose and Bethany Presbyterian in Beaverton and enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing, dancing, pinochle and gardening. She shared the bounty of her garden with anyone who stopped to tell her how much they liked her flowers. She was also preceded in death by three brothers and a daughter, Verna Charbonneau. Survivors include her daughter, Valerie Briggs; a sister, Sue Torland; a brother and sister-in-law, George and Selma Berge; and six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
