Madlyn N. Wyle Madlyn N. Wyle died July 26, 1999, at age 92. A private service was held. Mrs. Wyle was born Oct. 6, 1906, in Pepperell, Mass. Her maiden name was Nutt. She was raised and graduated from high school in Los Angeles. She worked at Whittier State School for Boys in Whittier, Calif., for several years before moving to Portland in 1934. She was a caregiver for many years and a longtime member of Bethany Presbyterian Church. She married William D. in 1930; he died in 1990. Survivors include her daughter Zola M. Goodell of Portland; son, William of Wilsonville; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Her daughter Nancy A. Ryles died in 1990. Private interment will be in Bethany Presbyterian Cemetery. The family suggests remembrances to the Nancy Ryles Scholarship Fund at Portland State University.
