Gladys Doern, 81
KING CITY—Gladys Louise Doern, a native of Hillsboro, died Aug. 31, 1994, three days after her 81st birthday in Portland of chronic lymphocytic leukemia.
Memorial services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 12th and Alder, Portland.
Private family graveside services will be Saturday in Bethany Presbyterian Church, Portland, followed by interment in Skyline Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Doern was born Aug. 28, 1913, in Hillsboro, a daughter of Henry and Ida Dysle Kuratli.
On Nov. 27, 1935, she married William Doern in Hillsboro. They observed their 58th wedding anniversary last year.
They owned the American Brush Company before retiring in 1975.
Mrs. Doern was a member of Riverside Golf Club and Eastside Lions Club. She also was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and was baptized in the Bethany Presbyterian Church in Portland.
Survivors include her husband, William Doern, King City; two daughters, Eileen Grande, Beaverton; and Tellefson Martin, Tigard; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
The family suggests memorial contributions to a charity of choice and requests no flowers due to family allergies.
Young's Funeral Home of Tigard is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include the sister, Dorothy Olney, Hillsboro.
Mrs. Doerner died Aug. 31, 1994, in Portland of chronic lymphocytic leukemia. She was born in Hillsboro.
Interment was in Bethany Presbyterian Cemetery in Portland.
