This is a close-up view of a flat, polished gray granite double gravestone or ledger marker for the Cousussens family, lying flush with the ground in a grassy cemetery plot. The main family surname 'COUSUSSENS' is prominently carved in large, uppercase letters across the top center of the stone. The stone is divided into two side-by-side panels connected by a carved rose vine emblem with detailed petals and leaves. Left panel: 'ALBERT J.' above dates 'MAR 1927' and 'AUG 1994', inscribed in a book-like or shield-shaped cartouche. Right panel: 'EUGENIA C.' above 'DEC 5 1923' (birth date only, no death date visible), also in a similar cartouche. No epitaphs, scriptures, or additional inscriptions are present. The stone shows minor weathering and grass stains on the edges. Two empty bronze vase holders or pipe inserts are embedded in the ground on either side of the stone. The surrounding area is grass with some dry, brown patches, indicating a well-maintained but sun-exposed plot. No flowers, flags, mementos, or other decorations are visible.
