Weathered rectangular gray granite headstone, approximately 4 feet tall and 2 feet wide, standing on a low base in a grassy cemetery plot. The stone is heavily covered in moss, lichen, and patina, giving it a aged appearance. Front face features prominently carved year '1879' about midway up the stone. Below it, faded and partially legible inscription includes what appears to be 'APR 1 1917' or similar death date reference, with fragmented letters such as 'P T' or initials possibly 'J.H.S.' or 'S.T.' above or adjacent, but no full name, epitaph, or scripture clearly readable due to erosion. No symbols, emblems, crosses, military insignia, flowers, flags, or mementos visible on or near the stone. Surrounding ground is dry golden grass with scattered weeds, shadows indicating sunny conditions, and several other similar weathered stone markers and bases visible in the background, suggesting an old cemetery section.
