Ronald E. Mittelstaedt, born May 1, 1940, passed away on February 10, 2026. A loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Ron lived with kindness and warmth. Born in Manhattan to Gladys Marie Grandall and Arthur Howard Mittelstaedt, he grew up on Long Island, NY. A Syracuse University graduate, Ron married his high school sweetheart, Janet Rugen, in August, 1963. He and Jan lived in Houston, Texas, Pittsburgh, Pa, and Portland Oregon as Ron built a sales career with power companies. Active in his church and Rotary International, Ron is survived by his wife Janet, brother Arthur, children Ted, Amy Leimbach, and Tom, and grandchildren.
