Mary P. Meier A funeral will be at noon Monday, Dec. 7, 1998, in Donelson, Sewell & Matthews Mortuary in Hillsboro for Mary P. Meier, who died Dec. 4 at age 88. Mrs. Meier was born June 27, 1910, in Portland. Her maiden name was Tunk. She had lived in the Helvetia area since 1928. She graduated from Lincoln High School. A member of the World Wide Church of God, she was a 4-H Club leader for 40 years and member of the Rock Creek Extension Unit. In 1928, she married Edward; he died in 1973. Survivors include her daughters, Mary Jo Asher of Redding, Calif., and Barbara of Seattle; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Interment will be in Bethany Cemetery in Hillsboro.
