M. Louise Grant, 84, co-owned lumber firm Mary Louise Grant, 84, of Hillsboro, died July 25, 2006, at Hillsboro Rehab and Specialty Care after a short illness. Memorial services were Saturday afternoon at Bethany Presbyterian Church in Portland. Private interment was in Bethany Presbyterian Cemetery. Mrs. Grant was born Oct. 31, 1921, in Bozeman, Mont., a daughter of Lloyd and Josephine Hall Slats. The family moved to Portland in 1922 and she graduated from Jefferson High School and attended Benki-Walker Business College. She and Henry 'Hank' Grant were partners on a local dance team and married June 17, 1949, in Portland. They moved to Hillsboro in 1956 and observed their 57th wedding anniversary earlier this year.
