Loretta Trachsel Bethany Loretta Trachsel of Southwest Port- land, a retired bookkeeper, died of causes related to age Saturday in a Portland hospital. She was 83. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Bethany Presbyterian Church. Private interment will be in Bethany Cemetery. She was born July 11, 1907, in La Grande, but moved to Portland as a youngster. She was a graduate of Jeff- erson High School and attended the University of Oregon. Mrs. Trachsel worked for Sears, Roebuck & Co. for more than 20 years until her retirement in the late 1960s. She was a member of Bethany Presbyterian Church. Survivors include her son, Jack A. of Portland, and three grandchildren. Her husband, Albert Trachsel, preced- ed her in death.
