Bethany Presbyterian Cemetery

A gray granite flat gravestone marker set flush into the grass-covered ground. At the top, inscribed in cursive script: 'In Loving Memory'. Below it, the family surname 'MEEKINS' in large block letters, flanked by decorative carved vine or floral motifs on both sides, resembling scrolling leaves and tendrils. The stone is divided into two sections: left side reads 'GERALD F.' above '1917 - 2014'; right side reads 'FLORENCE M.' above '1921 - 2017'. All text is in sans-serif font, deeply carved and painted black. The stone has a polished surface with slightly beveled edges. Surrounding the marker is green grass with some weeds and small plants. Immediately in front of the stone is a small yellow-green coniferous shrub (possibly a dwarf juniper). To the right of the shrub is a gray cylindrical concrete or metal pipe/vase holder partially embedded in the ground. No flowers, flags, or other mementos are present. The overall style is a modern double companion marker for a husband and wife.
