WIDOW OF JOHN SMITH, born at Waalre, North-Brabant, Holland Oct. 10, 1836, and died at Verboort, Oregon, July 17, 1908, timely fortified with the last Sacraments.

The sweetest consolation taken to the grave is the thought of having been an irreproachable wife and mother, a true friend who leaves for us an inheritance of christian virtues.
She had looked well to the paths of her house, and hath not eaten her bread idle.
PROV. Dear children, fear the Lord, love each other and do not forget the lessons of your mother; live together in peace and the God of goodness shall not forsake you forever. Sweet Heart of Mary, be my refuge.
