Thank you for joining us in celebrating the life of Linda "Abbie" Allen, who passed away suddenly on September 20, 2026. Linda was the only child of Paul and Jean Abner (Cooke).

Linda was raised in Newberg and Dundee, Oregon. Throughout her life, she treasured memories of her parents, the lessons they imparted, and their many adventures to Oregon's parks, rivers and lakes.

She found her life's passion in education. She loved her many years teaching elementary school in Bend. She obtained a Master's in Education and Career Counseling and dedicated 25 years to the Oregon Institute of Technology, where she taught Communication, and served as an Admissions Counselor and Student Support Specialist. She relished helping students discover their gifts.

Her pets were her constant companions. Her yorkies, Bethany and Jeffrey met nearly everyone in Linda's life through innumerable walks and visits with friends and family.

She always saw the good in others and had a keen capacity to recognize and affirm each person. Her family will always remember the many Thanksgivings and Reunions she eagerly hosted, and her friends will remember celebrating friendship over lunches and get-togethers.

At Willamette Green, her townhome community in Canby, where she lived for over 30 years, she was truly at home. She deeply appreciated the companionship of her neighbors.

We will always remember Linda "Abbie" with deep affection.
